IPTV Latino in the US: Licensed Spanish TV by Home Country

Short answer: in the US, "IPTV Latino" legally means one of a handful of streaming plans: Fubo Latino ($19.99 a month, now with Telemundo and Universo), YouTube TV's Spanish Plan (about $35, with Univision, TUDN and ESPN Deportes), Sling's regional Spanish packs (around $10 each), the ViX app, and a free antenna for local Univision and Telemundo stations. The non-obvious catch is that the two big networks sit with different services, so the right plan depends on which one your household watches, and on which country's channels you grew up with.

At a glance

Licensed Latino TV in the US

Univision household YouTube TV Spanish Plan, about $35/mo

Univision or Telemundo? Start here

Spanish-language TV in the US is built around two broadcast groups, and no single cheap plan carries both in full.

TelevisaUnivision owns Univision, UniMás, Galavisión and the sports channel TUDN, plus the ViX streaming app. Its schedule is heavy on Mexican novelas, Liga MX and, in Spanish, the Champions League.

NBCUniversal owns Telemundo and Universo. Telemundo carries Premier League matches in Spanish, Sunday Night Football in Spanish, and had the 2026 World Cup.

So the first question isn't "which IPTV?" It's "which of the two does Abuela watch every night?" Answer that and the choice mostly makes itself. Our broader Spanish-language TV comparison walks through every plan's channel list; this guide focuses on picking by family background and by sport.

The licensed plans, priced

All of these are month to month and run on Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, Apple TV and most smart TVs.

Plan Price Big channels Missing
Fubo Latino $19.99/mo or $189.99/yr Telemundo, Universo, beIN SPORTS en Español, novelas, news Univision group
YouTube TV Spanish Plan About $35/mo Univision, UniMás, Galavisión, TUDN, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, CNN en Español Telemundo
YouTube TV Spanish Plus About $15 on top of $82.99 base Spanish channels inside an English plan Only sensible for bilingual homes
Sling Spanish packs About $10 each, extra packs cheaper Regional packs: Latino, México, Sudamérica, Centroamérica, Caribe, España Both broadcast networks
ViX Free tier; paid tier Univision library, novelas, selected live soccer Not a full channel line-up
Antenna $20 to $60 once Local Univision, UniMás, Telemundo and often Estrella TV Cable networks

Fubo's Latino price rose to $19.99 for new subscribers on 10 June 2026, the same day Telemundo and Universo joined, and for existing subscribers from their first bill after 1 July. Fubo's support pages also list a quarterly option billed at $19.99 a month.

A practical combination that covers both networks for under $40: Fubo Latino plus an antenna for Univision, or YouTube TV's Spanish Plan plus an antenna for Telemundo. In most big metro areas, both networks broadcast free over the air.

By home country

This is where "IPTV Latino" searches usually start: people want the channels from home, not just US Spanish-language TV. Licensed options exist, but they're thinner than the unlicensed packages suggest, and it's better to know that upfront.

Family from Start with Then add
Mexico YouTube TV Spanish Plan or antenna Univision; ViX for Televisa novelas Sling México pack for regional channels
Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba Telemundo (Fubo Latino or antenna) Sling Caribe pack
Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina Sling Sudamérica pack Broadcasters' own international apps or YouTube channels, where offered
Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras Sling Centroamérica pack Univision or Telemundo locally for US news
Spain Sling España pack ESPN Deportes for La Liga

Two honest caveats. First, the flagship national channels of most Latin American countries are licensed country by country, and many simply aren't sold to US viewers in full. Some broadcasters run international feeds or apps; check the broadcaster's own website rather than a reseller's channel list. Second, pack contents change, so open Sling's channel list for the pack before you pay rather than trusting the region name.

Fútbol and sport in Spanish, 2026-27

Sport decides most Latino households' TV bill. Here's where the main competitions sit in Spanish this season. Rights move between seasons, so check again each summer.

Competition Spanish-language home Cheapest licensed route
Liga MX (most clubs) Univision, TUDN, ViX ViX paid tier, or antenna for Univision matches
Chivas home matches Telemundo (listed by Fubo for its Latino plan) Fubo Latino or antenna
Premier League Telemundo, Universo, Peacock Peacock Premium, $12.99
Champions League TUDN, ViX ViX paid tier
La Liga ESPN Deportes and ESPN's app ESPN's own app, or a live plan with ESPN Deportes
Mexico national team Univision, TUDN Antenna or YouTube TV Spanish Plan
NFL Sunday Night Football Telemundo / Universo Antenna or Fubo Latino

For the English-and-Spanish picture on two of these, see our guides to the Champions League in the USA and La Liga in the USA.

One tip that saves money: many English-language broadcasts, including a lot of NFL games, carry a Spanish audio track (SAP or "secondary audio"). Check the audio menu in your TV or app before paying for a Spanish channel just for one sport.

Free Latino TV

An antenna. In Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, Chicago, New York, Phoenix, San Antonio and most other large markets, Univision, UniMás and Telemundo broadcast free over the air, usually alongside Estrella TV and independent Spanish-language stations. A $20 to $60 indoor antenna covers most city addresses. Our antenna guide matches models to distance.

ViX free tier. TelevisaUnivision's app has a large ad-supported library of novelas, films and series.

Free ad-supported channels. Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Samsung TV Plus, Tubi and Sling Freestream all have Spanish-language sections with novelas, films, news and kids' channels.

For many older relatives, antenna plus ViX plus a FAST app on a simple streaming stick covers almost everything they watch, for nothing a month.

What "IPTV Latino" sellers are really offering

Most of what ranks for "IPTV Latino" is promotion for packages promising thousands of channels from every Spanish-speaking country, plus every Liga MX, Premier League and Champions League match, for $8 to $15 a month. The Spanish-language versions of those pages, often aimed at Spain, even suggest DNS changes or VPNs to get round operators' blocks during matches.

The economics don't work. The channels on those lists are licensed country by country, and the soccer rights in the US alone are held by Univision, Telemundo, ESPN and others at enormous cost. A $10 package isn't paying any of them. That's why such services go dark without warning, often during the biggest matches, and why the prepaid year disappears with them.

The practical risks are the familiar ones: payment by methods you can't dispute, apps from outside official stores, and Fire TV devices that now block apps Amazon links to unlicensed content. Our guide to spotting an IPTV scam lists the warning signs.

The honest trade-off: licensed options won't give you every regional channel from home. They will give you the big networks, most of the soccer, and something that still works next month.

What typical households pay

Putting the pieces together, here's what a sensible licensed setup costs per month for four common situations. These are list prices before tax; the antenna is a one-off purchase.

Household Setup Monthly
Grandparents, novelas and local news Antenna + ViX free + a Spanish FAST app $0
Mexican family, Liga MX every weekend Antenna (Univision, Telemundo) + ViX paid tier, or YouTube TV Spanish Plan ViX tier price to about $35
Caribbean family, Telemundo and Premier League Fubo Latino + Sling Caribe pack About $30
Bilingual home, English sport too YouTube TV base + Spanish Plus About $98

The bilingual option is the expensive outlier. If the English-speaking half of the house mostly watches network TV, an antenna and a cheaper English plan alongside a Spanish one usually costs less than putting everyone on one big bundle.

Devices and apps that suit Spanish TV

Every service above has apps on the major platforms, but a few details make a difference for Spanish-speaking households.

Interface language. Roku, Fire TV, Google TV and Apple TV can all switch their system menus to Spanish, and most service apps follow the device language. Set it once and relatives who don't read English menus can find their way around.

Voice search in Spanish. Fire TV, Google TV and Apple TV remotes accept Spanish voice commands, which is often easier than typing titles with arrow keys.

Antenna integration. Some TVs (Roku TVs and many Google TV sets) show antenna channels inside the same guide as streaming channels. That's the simplest setup for older viewers: one remote, one guide, and Univision on the same channel number as before.

Older TVs. A $30 to $60 streaming stick runs every app here. You don't need a special "Latino IPTV box"; boxes sold under that name are usually preloaded with unlicensed apps, and Amazon's Fire TV now blocks apps it links to that kind of content.

Setting it up for the family

  1. Ask what's actually watched. Two or three channels and one or two teams usually decide everything.
  2. Check the antenna first. If Univision and Telemundo come in clearly, you may only need one small paid plan.
  3. Pick one paid plan for the network the antenna misses, or for the sport you can't get free.
  4. Set the app language. Fubo, YouTube TV and Sling apps can show menus in Spanish via account or device settings, which helps older relatives.
  5. Keep it to one device per TV. A single streaming stick with the antenna on the TV's own input is easier for grandparents than three remotes.
  6. Use a trial during a real match to check picture and delay on your own Wi-Fi before committing.
