Spanish-Language TV in the USA: The Licensed Streaming Options Compared

Short answer: there are several licensed ways to watch Spanish-language TV in the US without cable, from about $10 a month on Sling's Spanish packs to $34.99 for YouTube TV's standalone Spanish Plan. Fubo Latino added Telemundo and Universo in June 2026 and now costs $19.99. The catch is that no single plan carries everything: Univision and Telemundo sit with different services, and sport is split between TUDN, Telemundo, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes and beIN, so the right choice depends on which of those you care about.

How Spanish-language TV is split up

Spanish-language television in the US is dominated by two broadcast groups, and knowing which is which saves a lot of confusion.

TelevisaUnivision owns Univision, UniMás, Galavisión and the TUDN sports channel, plus the ViX streaming service. It carries Liga MX for many clubs and Mexico national team coverage.

NBCUniversal owns Telemundo and Universo. Telemundo held Spanish-language rights to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and carries Premier League and other sport in Spanish.

Alongside those sit cable networks such as ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, beIN SPORTS en Español, CNN en Español, and a long list of film, novela and regional channels from Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Spain.

Live TV services pick and choose from these, which is why two plans that both say "Spanish" can look very different.

The main licensed options compared

Prices and lineups here are as published in mid to late 2026. Fubo's new price applied to new subscribers from 10 June 2026 and to existing ones from their first bill after 1 July. Sling's prices vary with promotions and prepayment, so check its site on the day.

Sling's Spanish packs

Sling sells Spanish-language television as small regional packs rather than one big bundle. There are six: Latino, México, Sudamérica, Caribe, España and Centroamérica.

The appeal is price and targeting. A household with family from Colombia or the Dominican Republic can pay for the channels that matter to them and nothing else. Additional packs cost less than the first.

The limits are the big networks. The packs lean on cable and regional channels. Broadcast networks and some major sports channels need combining with an English Sling plan or are simply not included, so check the channel list for anything you'd miss.

Sling also offers a free, ad-supported tier with some Spanish-language channels, which is a sensible way to try the app first.

YouTube TV's Spanish Plan

YouTube TV's Spanish Plan is a full standalone subscription, not an add-on. At $34.99 a month it carries around 30 channels including Univision, UniMás, Galavisión, TUDN, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes and beIN SPORTS en Español, with the service's unlimited DVR and three simultaneous streams.

For many households it's the most complete single option, particularly for Mexican soccer through Univision and TUDN.

Don't confuse it with Spanish Plus. Spanish Plus is a $14.99 add-on for people who already pay for the English base plan. If you only want Spanish channels, the standalone plan is far cheaper than base plus add-on.

Fubo Latino and the Telemundo change

Fubo Latino was long the budget soccer choice. In June 2026 it added Telemundo and Universo in time for the World Cup, and its price rose to $19.99 a month, or $189.99 a year.

That makes it the cheaper way to get Telemundo's sport, including Spanish-language Premier League coverage and NFL Sunday Night Football in Spanish. Existing subscribers couldn't opt out of the change, though they could cancel or change plan.

If you need both Telemundo and Univision, you'll either combine services or add an antenna for whichever network the plan lacks.

Free and low-cost routes

An antenna is the most underrated option. In most large metro areas, Univision, UniMás and Telemundo broadcast over the air, often alongside Estrella TV and independent Spanish-language stations. A one-off aerial gives you local news, novelas and broadcast sport with no subscription. The FCC's reception maps show which stations reach your address.

ViX, from TelevisaUnivision, has a free ad-supported tier with a large on-demand library, and a paid tier with more, including some live soccer.

Free ad-supported channels on platforms such as Pluto TV, Roku, Samsung TV Plus and Sling Freestream include a surprising number of Spanish-language channels, mostly films, series and news.

Soccer and sport in Spanish

Sport is usually what decides the choice, so it's worth mapping out what you watch.

If you mainly watch Channels to look for Services that tend to carry them
Liga MX (many clubs) Univision, TUDN, ViX YouTube TV Spanish Plan, ViX, antenna
Premier League in Spanish Telemundo, Universo, Peacock Fubo Latino, Peacock, antenna
La Liga, Ligue 1 and others beIN SPORTS en Español Fubo Latino, YouTube TV Spanish Plan, Sling
ESPN and Fox events ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes YouTube TV Spanish Plan, Sling
Mexico national team Univision, TUDN YouTube TV Spanish Plan, antenna

Rights change between seasons and competitions, and a few clubs sell their home matches separately, so check before a new season rather than assuming. For a wider look at licensed sports options, see our sports streaming guide. La Liga fans may also find our La Liga guide useful.

Bilingual households

Many families want English-language channels for some people and Spanish for others. There are three sensible ways to handle that.

One service with an add-on. YouTube TV's English base plan plus Spanish Plus keeps everything in one app and one DVR. It's the simplest arrangement and the most expensive.

Two cheaper services. An English plan from one provider and a Spanish plan from another can cost less, at the price of switching apps. Most streaming devices make that painless.

Audio tracks. Some English-language broadcasts carry a secondary Spanish audio track (SAP), including many NFL games. Check the audio or language settings in your app or TV before paying for a separate Spanish channel for one sport.

Whichever route you pick, set up separate profiles so recommendations and recordings stay sorted by language.

How to choose, and what to avoid

List the three channels you'd miss most and check each service's channel page for them. That settles most decisions quickly.

Use free trials around big matches. Trials let you test picture quality and the app on your own TV during a real game.

Mind the device. All the services above have apps for Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, Apple TV and most smart TVs. Our guide to choosing safely in the US covers the rest.

Be wary of "every Latin channel" offers. Packages claiming hundreds of channels from every Spanish-speaking country for a few dollars aren't licensed. They tend to vanish without warning, and there's no refund route when they do.
