Short answer: Peacock Premium at $12.99 a month is the cheapest way to watch most of the Premier League in the US. It carries about 175 matches that aren't on TV at all, plus simulcasts of the NBC games. Add a free antenna for NBC and you've covered well over half the season for about $130. The catch is USA Network: its matches no longer stream live on Peacock, and getting that one channel costs more than Peacock itself.
At a glance
Premier League in the US, 2026-27
| Season | 21 Aug 2026 to 30 May 2027 |
| Free | NBC and Telemundo with an antenna |
| Best value | Peacock Premium, $12.99/mo |
| The expensive gap | USA Network, from about $35/mo |
| Every match, all season | Roughly $480 to $590 |
Who shows what this season
NBCUniversal holds the US rights, but it splits the 380 matches across several outlets, and the 2025 spin-off of USA Network into a separate company, Versant, changed how one of them reaches you.
| Where | Which matches | How to get it | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peacock | About 175 exclusive matches, plus NBC simulcasts | Peacock Premium | $12.99/mo |
| NBC | Biggest weekend matches | Antenna, or Peacock | Free |
| USA Network | Many weekend and midweek matches | Live TV service only | From about $35/mo |
| Telemundo | Selected matches in Spanish | Antenna | Free |
| Universo | More Spanish-language matches | Live TV service | Varies |
The important line is USA Network. Its matches used to be streamable on Peacock too. They're not, live, this season; reports differ on whether full replays still appear there, so don't rely on them. Three budgets, costed for the season
The season runs ten billing months, from August to May. Here's what each approach costs at October 2026 prices.
| Setup | What you see | Season cost |
|---|---|---|
| Antenna only | NBC and Telemundo matches, a few dozen | $0 after a $20 to $60 antenna |
| Peacock Premium | Peacock exclusives plus NBC games | $129.90 |
| Peacock + USA Network in your club's busy months | Nearly all of your club's matches | About $270 to $315 |
| Peacock + DirecTV entertainment package | Every match | About $480 |
| Peacock + Sling Blue | Every match | $589.80 |
Peacock alone is the sweet spot for most fans. If you support a big club, a good share of its matches will end up on NBC or USA Network, so the middle row is the one to look at. If you support a smaller club, a lot more of its games tend to be Peacock exclusives, and Peacock by itself may be almost enough.
Pick by the kind of fan you are
The right budget depends less on how much football you watch than on which club you follow. NBC and USA Network pick the matches with the biggest US audiences, so the more popular your club, the more of its games land on channels Peacock doesn't stream live.
| You are | Where your matches tend to land | Cheapest sensible setup |
|---|---|---|
| A fan of one of the biggest clubs | Mostly NBC and USA Network, some Peacock | Peacock + antenna, with USA Network in busy months |
| A fan of a mid-table or newly promoted club | Mostly Peacock exclusives | Peacock + antenna; USA Network rarely needed |
| A neutral who watches the big games | NBC on weekends | Antenna, maybe Peacock for replays |
| Someone who wants every minute | Everywhere | Peacock + a USA Network service all season |
| A Spanish-language viewer | Telemundo, Universo, Peacock | Antenna + Peacock |
Look back over the first few months of this season: count how many of your club's matches were on USA Network. That number is the best predictor of whether you need it at all.
Peacock: the base of every cheap setup
Peacock Premium went up to $12.99 a month on 17 September 2026. That tier is all you need for the Premier League. The pricier Premium Plus tier removes most ads and adds your live local NBC station, which you can get free with an antenna anyway.
What you get on Premium:
- Live streams of roughly 175 matches that aren't on TV at all, mostly Saturday 10am ET kick-offs.
- Simulcasts of the matches on NBC.
- Replays and highlights of Peacock and NBC matches.
- Spanish-language commentary on many matches.
Peacock also sells an annual plan. Do the arithmetic before buying it: the season is ten months long, so an annual plan only helps if it costs less than ten monthly payments, or if you'll use Peacock in June and July for other things.
If you start in October, as many people do after the first international break, the remaining season is eight months: $103.92.
USA Network: the cheapest ways in
USA Network is a cable channel, so you need a cable or live TV streaming plan that carries it. As of early October 2026:
| Service | Plan | Monthly price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| DirecTV | MyEntertainment genre pack | About $34.99 (check: reports vary) | Cheapest listed route, if still offered at that price |
| Sling | Blue | $45.99 | Not in Sling Select or Essentials; NBC only in some cities |
| YouTube TV | Base plan | $82.99 | Also has NBC, Telemundo, Universo |
| Hulu + Live TV | Base plan | $89.99 | Includes Disney+ and ESPN Unlimited |
| Fubo | n/a | n/a | USA Network was removed in December 2025; check whether it has returned |
Watch the plan names closely. Sling's cheaper Select and Essentials plans don't carry USA Network, and older guides that point to Fubo for it are out of date.
If you already pay for one of these services for other reasons, you have USA Network covered and Peacock is the only extra. If you don't, the next section is how to avoid paying for it all season.
Add USA Network only when your club is on it
None of these live TV services has a contract, which means you can switch USA Network on for the months your club is on it and off again afterwards. TV picks for each round are announced a few weeks ahead, so you'll usually have time.
- Keep Peacock Premium running all season.
- Check the US TV listings for your club each month. NBC Sports and the Premier League's own site list the channel for each match.
- If two or more of your club's matches that month are on USA Network, add Sling Blue or the cheapest DirecTV package for that month. If it's only one, decide whether a single match is worth $35 to $46.
- Cancel straight away; you keep access until the end of the paid month.
December and January, with their packed holiday fixture lists, are the months most likely to justify it. Doing this for four months instead of ten takes the "every match" bill from about $590 to about $315 with Sling Blue, or to about $270 with DirecTV's cheaper package.
When a full live TV service is the cheaper option
Everything above assumes the Premier League is the main thing you'd pay for. If it isn't, the maths can flip.
Say your household also wants ESPN for college football, the local channels and a couple of cable news or entertainment networks. A base YouTube TV plan at $82.99 covers USA Network, NBC, Telemundo and Universo along with all of that, so the Premier League effectively costs you only the $12.99 for Peacock on top. Paying separately for Sling Blue, an ESPN plan and the rest would quickly cost more. Our guide to the cheapest way to watch live TV works through those wider bundles.
The reverse is also true. If you've been keeping a $80-plus live TV plan mainly for football, Peacock plus a few targeted months of a cheaper USA Network plan will almost certainly save money over the season. Write down which channels you actually watched last month before deciding.
One more case: if you'd be happy with Spanish commentary, Universo carries matches that would otherwise need USA Network, and some Spanish-language live TV plans cost less than the English ones. It's worth a look for bilingual households.
Kick-off times, replays and spoilers
Time zones shape what you actually need. Most Saturday matches kick off at 7:30am, 10am or 12:30pm Eastern, Sundays at 9am or 11:30am, and midweek rounds around 2:30pm or 3pm Eastern, which is the middle of a working day. On the West Coast, the early Saturday match starts at 4:30am.
That makes replays unusually important for a US fan, and it's another point in Peacock's favour. Full replays of Peacock and NBC matches are available on demand, usually shortly after the final whistle. If you're happy to watch a midweek match in the evening, Peacock covers far more of your viewing than the live match count suggests.
A few habits help:
- Turn off score notifications in sports apps on match days, and mute your club's name on social media until you've watched.
- On Peacock, open the replay from the Premier League section rather than the home screen, where thumbnails sometimes give the result away.
- For USA Network matches, a live TV service's cloud DVR is the replay route. Sling Blue and YouTube TV both include cloud recording, so set it to record your club's matches when you add the service for a month.
Peacock lets three devices stream at once, so one subscription covers a household. If you watch on a phone at work and someone else wants the TV at home, that's fine.
Watching in Spanish
Spanish-language viewers have the cheapest route of all. Telemundo is a free broadcast network, so an antenna picks up its matches at no cost. Universo, which carries more matches, needs a live TV plan. And Peacock offers Spanish commentary on many of its own matches. For many households, an antenna plus Peacock covers almost everything in Spanish for $12.99 a month. Our guide to Spanish-language TV in the USA has the wider picture.
What about the $2.50 Setanta trick?
One of the highest-ranking articles for this search explains how to watch every match for about $2.50 a month through Setanta Sports. Setanta's Premier League rights are for Ukraine only. Watching from the US means using a VPN to pretend you're in Ukraine, which breaks Setanta's terms of service and isn't a licensed way to watch in the US. Accounts can be cancelled without refund, and payment from a US card may simply fail. We don't recommend it, and the same goes for the cheap "every channel" IPTV subscriptions advertised around big matches. They're unlicensed, and they tend to fall over on exactly the busy weekends you'd want them.
The legal options are less dramatic but not expensive. Peacock alone covers more of the season than most fans actually watch, for less than half the price of a single month of most live TV packages.
