Short answer: if you want to follow every NFL game on a Sunday afternoon without paying for every game, NFL RedZone is the channel that makes it possible: it jumps between games whenever a team nears the end zone, for seven commercial-free hours. It's available through NFL+ Premium, an ESPN bundle and most live-TV services' sports add-ons. The catch is that RedZone shows highlights of every game, not whole games, and it doesn't include Thursday, Sunday night or Monday night football at all.

What RedZone is, and isn't
NFL RedZone runs on Sunday afternoons during the regular season, from the 1pm Eastern kickoffs to the end of the late afternoon games. A host in the studio switches between games whenever a team moves inside the opponent's 20-yard line, and shows every touchdown from every game as it happens. When two big moments collide, it splits the screen.
It carries no commercials, which is a large part of its appeal: an afternoon of RedZone packs in far more football than any single broadcast.
What it isn't: a way to watch a full game. If your team's game is dull between the 20s, RedZone will be elsewhere. It also stops for the week once the Sunday afternoon games end, so Thursday Night Football on Prime Video, Sunday Night Football on NBC and Peacock, and Monday Night Football on ESPN and ABC need their own services. Our week-by-week NFL guide sets out who shows what.
Where to get RedZone
These are the main licensed routes in the US for the 2026 season. Prices are as listed in September 2026 and change frequently, especially introductory offers.
| Route | Approximate cost | Also gives you |
|---|---|---|
| NFL+ Premium | $14.99/month, $99.99/year | NFL Network, full-game replays |
| ESPN Unlimited + NFL+ Premium bundle | About $40/month | Monday Night Football, all of ESPN |
| Sling (Sports Extra add-on) | From about $31/month in total | Cable channels, some locals by market |
| YouTube TV (sports plan or add-on) | Varies by plan | Local channels, custom multiview |
| Fubo (RedZone add-on) | Base plan plus about $10 | Local channels, four-way multiview |
| DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV | Base plan plus sports add-on | Full live-TV line-up |
ESPN Unlimited alone doesn't include RedZone. ESPN took over the running of NFL Network and RedZone distribution under its deal with the league, but RedZone comes with the bundle that adds NFL+ Premium, not with ESPN Unlimited on its own.
Check the devices. Each route has its own apps and limits. Before paying, confirm the service's RedZone streams on the device connected to your main television, not only on phones.
RedZone versus Sunday Ticket
They solve different problems. Sunday Ticket, sold through YouTube and YouTube TV, gives you full broadcasts of every out-of-market Sunday afternoon game. RedZone gives you the best moments from all of them, including your local games.
If you follow one team that plays outside your market, Sunday Ticket is the product that shows you its games from start to finish. If you play fantasy football or simply want the whole league's afternoon in one channel, RedZone does that at a fraction of the price.
Some fans take both. YouTube has sold Sunday Ticket with a RedZone option, and its custom multiview lets you put RedZone in one corner and your team's full game in another. Our Sunday Ticket price guide covers what that costs.
Building your own RedZone with multiview
Multiview is the other way to follow several games, and it pairs well with RedZone.
YouTube TV has offered fully customisable multiview since April 2026, so you can choose which live channels share the screen, and mix Sunday Ticket games with regular channels. Fubo lets you choose up to four channels on supported devices, including Apple TV, some Roku models and newer LG televisions.
A common Sunday layout is RedZone in the largest tile with the audio, your local CBS or Fox game in a second tile, and one or two other games alongside. You see every score and never miss your own team's drive.
Multiview needs a strong connection: several simultaneous streams can use far more bandwidth than one. See our guide to game-day IPTV setup for the network and device side.
Don't forget your local games
RedZone and Sunday Ticket both leave you needing your local CBS and Fox stations, for full broadcasts of the games shown in your area. Live-TV services carry those stations in most markets.
The cheapest route is an antenna. Local broadcasts are free over the air, in HD, and often look cleaner than the streamed versions. Pairing an antenna with NFL+ Premium covers local Sunday games in full and every other game's big moments, for $14.99 a month.
Sunday night games on NBC and Monday night games on ABC are free with an antenna too, in the weeks they're on broadcast television.
Getting the setup right
Watch the early window from the start. RedZone's first hour is often its busiest, with up to nine or ten games under way at once.
Mute score alerts. Streaming runs behind the live action, and fantasy and score apps will spoil touchdowns before RedZone shows them.
Use a wired connection for the main television, especially with multiview.
Match frame rate on your streaming device, since NFL broadcasts are 60 frames per second.
Know your stream limit. RedZone in the lounge and a full game in another room count as two streams, and some packages allow fewer than others.
Outside the US
Outside the United States, RedZone is generally part of NFL Game Pass on DAZN, which carries every game of the season, including RedZone in most territories. Availability, prices and what's included vary by country, so check DAZN's site where you are.
US services such as NFL+, YouTube TV and Sling are for US residents, and using them from abroad may breach their terms. Our guide to the NFL outside the US covers the international picture.
Channels and streams offering RedZone for a few dollars through unlicensed IPTV lists aren't authorised by the NFL, which actively pursues them. They tend to fail mid-afternoon, just when the games get interesting.
