Best Live TV Streaming Service for College Football in 2026

Short answer: for a fan who watches more than one conference, YouTube TV ($82.99 a month) is the best live TV streaming service for college football in 2026. It carries SEC Network, ACC Network, Big Ten Network, ESPNU and CBS Sports Network, plus NBC, USA Network, The CW in most markets and TNT, and it now includes ESPN Unlimited. The catch: no live TV service carries Peacock's exclusive Big Ten games, and if you follow a single conference, you can usually get every game for less than half that price with an antenna and one or two apps.

At a glance

Where each conference plays in 2026

College football TV changed again this season. The rebuilt Pac-12 officially launched this summer with new TV partners, The CW expanded to its largest-ever schedule across the ACC, Mountain West and Pac-12, and USA Network became a regular Saturday-night home. Here's where each conference's games air.

Conference TV partners for 2026 The channel people forget
SEC ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network, SEC Network+ (streaming) SEC Network+, which is streaming-only inside the ESPN app
Big Ten FOX (noon), CBS (afternoon), NBC (primetime), Big Ten Network Peacock, which has exclusive games
ACC ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ACC Network, ACCNX (streaming), The CW The CW, with roughly nine games a season
Big 12 FOX, FS1, ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, TNT, truTV TNT and truTV
Pac-12 (new) CBS and Paramount+, CBS Sports Network, USA Network, The CW USA Network, which carries the largest share of home games
Mountain West CBS, CBS Sports Network, Paramount+, FOX, FS1, FS2, The CW CBS Sports Network
Notre Dame NBC and Peacock Peacock exclusives
American, Sun Belt, MAC, C-USA Mostly ESPN networks and ESPN+, plus CBS Sports Network ESPN+ (now part of ESPN Unlimited)

Week-by-week assignments are announced 6 to 12 days ahead for most games, so the conference tells you which channels you need, not which channel a given game is on. For a conference-by-conference schedule view, see our guide to where to watch college football in 2026.

Conference networks by service

This is the table most "best service" lists skip. Each row is a channel college football fans need; each column is a service at its regular monthly price in early October 2026.

Channel YouTube TV ($82.99) Hulu + Live TV ($99.99) DIRECTV Choice ($94.99) Fubo Pro (about $74) Sling Orange & Blue ($60.99) ESPN + Fox One bundle ($39.99)

Three things to take from this:

  • YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV have the fewest gaps. YouTube TV is $17 a month cheaper for the same conference coverage.
  • Fubo is now a poor fit for Big Ten and Big 12 fans. It has no NBC (Big Ten primetime, Notre Dame) since a carriage dispute in late 2025 and no TNT (Big 12). It's still fine for SEC and ACC fans, because ESPN Unlimited is included in its plans.
  • Sling needs its Sports Extra add-ons before it carries most conference networks, and it has no CBS at all, which hurts Big Ten, Pac-12 and Mountain West fans.

Which service for which fan

You watch several conferences: YouTube TV

It carries every channel in the table and includes ESPN Unlimited, so SEC Network+, ACCNX and ESPN+ games are in the ESPN app at no extra charge. Add Peacock Premium ($12.99) during Big Ten season if you want the Peacock exclusives. Its Sports + News plan at $71.99 is worth a look if you don't need entertainment channels; check its lineup for your conference network before switching.

You also want your local NBA, NHL or MLB team: DIRECTV Choice

Choice ($94.99) adds SEC Network, ACC Network and Big Ten Network plus regional sports networks where available, and every DIRECTV package includes ESPN Unlimited. It lacks CBS Sports Network unless you step up to Ultimate ($129.99), which matters for Mountain West and Pac-12 fans. DIRECTV also sells a MySports genre pack, advertised at $44.99 for the first six months, which it says includes 400+ college football games; check the regular rate before committing.

You're in a Disney household: Hulu + Live TV

Hulu carries all the conference networks and bundles Disney+ and Hulu, but at $99.99 it's hard to justify for football alone.

You follow one SEC or ACC team: skip the bundle

Almost every SEC and ACC game is on an ESPN network or ABC. ESPN Unlimited ($31.99) covers ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network and the streaming-only SEC Network+ and ACCNX games, and an antenna covers ABC and The CW. That's every game for $31.99 a month during the season.

Cheapest complete stack per conference

If you only care about one conference, these setups cover every regular-season game at regular monthly prices, assuming you can get over-the-air channels with an antenna. Cancel after the season and you pay for four months, not twelve.

Conference Cheapest complete setup Monthly cost What the antenna covers
SEC ESPN Unlimited + antenna $31.99 ABC
ACC ESPN Unlimited + antenna $31.99 ABC, The CW
Big Ten Fox One + Peacock Premium + antenna $32.98 FOX, CBS, NBC
Big 12 ESPN and Fox One bundle + antenna, plus a TNT source for some games $39.99 and up FOX, ABC
Pac-12 Sling Blue with Sports Extra + Paramount+ + antenna, or YouTube TV About $60 to $83 CBS, The CW
Mountain West Paramount+ + Fox One + antenna, plus CBS Sports Network Varies CBS, FOX, The CW

The Big Ten stack is the best deal on this list: Fox One brings Big Ten Network and FS1, Peacock brings NBC's streams and its exclusives, and the antenna picks up FOX, CBS and NBC free. Our guide to Fox One explains what else is included. The Big 12 and Pac-12 are the awkward ones, because TNT and USA Network sit outside the cheap apps and push you back toward a full live service.

No antenna reception? Add the cost of a live TV service, or use Paramount+ Premium for live CBS and Peacock Premium Plus for live NBC.

The streaming-only games

Every season, a few dozen games aren't on any TV channel at all. Know these before kickoff so you're not hunting for a channel that doesn't exist:

  • Peacock: Big Ten exclusives and some Notre Dame games. No live TV service includes them.
  • ESPN+, SEC Network+ and ACCNX: hundreds of games, mostly non-conference and smaller programs. All included in ESPN Unlimited, which YouTube TV, DIRECTV and Fubo now include.
  • Paramount+: streams CBS's games live, including Pac-12 and Mountain West, which is useful away from an antenna.

If you're wondering about cheap "college football IPTV" channel lists: they don't have the rights to these games, and the streaming-only exclusives are exactly where they fail. We explain the checklist of legal channels and the cheapest legal stacks in college football on IPTV.

Bowl season and the playoff

ESPN and ABC hold the College Football Playoff and most bowl games, and TNT Sports carries some early-round playoff games under a sublicense from ESPN. That means the service you choose in September needs ESPN and ideally TNT to get you through January. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and DIRECTV carry both. ESPN Unlimited alone covers ESPN's playoff games but not TNT's. Conference championship games follow each conference's partners: the Pac-12 title game, for example, is on CBS and Paramount+ on December 4.

One planning tip: most live services let you cancel and rejoin month to month. A September-to-January subscription costs about five months of fees, and dropping it from February to August saves the rest. Watch for intro pricing, though: promo rates are usually for new customers only, so rejoining typically means paying the full monthly price.

Quick answers

What is the best live TV streaming service for college football? YouTube TV for most fans. It carries SEC Network, ACC Network, Big Ten Network, ESPNU, CBS Sports Network, NBC, USA Network and TNT, includes ESPN Unlimited, and costs $82.99 a month after the intro offer.

Which streaming services have SEC Network and ACC Network? YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV Choice and Fubo all include them. Sling only carries them in its Sports Extra add-on. ESPN Unlimited, at $31.99 a month, also streams both.

How can I watch Big Ten games without cable? Big Ten games are on FOX, CBS, NBC, Big Ten Network and Peacock. The cheapest full setup is an antenna for FOX, CBS and NBC, Fox One for Big Ten Network and FS1, and Peacock Premium for the exclusives.

Where are Pac-12 games on TV in 2026? The rebuilt Pac-12 airs on CBS and Paramount+, CBS Sports Network, USA Network and The CW, with some road games on ESPN and FOX networks. Its championship game is on CBS and Paramount+ on December 4.

Is Fubo good for college football? For SEC and ACC fans, yes, because ESPN Unlimited is included. For Big Ten and Big 12 fans it's a weaker choice, because Fubo has no NBC since a late-2025 carriage dispute and has never carried TNT.

Does any live TV service include Peacock's Big Ten games? No. Peacock's exclusive games stream only on Peacock, so you need a Peacock subscription in addition to any live TV service.

Where is the College Football Playoff on TV? ESPN and ABC carry the playoff and most bowl games, and TNT Sports carries some early-round playoff games under a sublicense from ESPN.

Can I subscribe only during football season? Yes. Live TV services are month to month, so you can subscribe from late August through January and cancel afterwards, although you may lose promotional pricing when you rejoin.
