Short answer: in the UK, every live Premier League match that's televised at all is on either Sky Sports or TNT Sports in 2026-27, and both can be streamed through apps on an ordinary smart TV or streaming stick. Watching every televised game costs roughly £730 a year. The catch that no subscription fixes: Saturday 3pm kick-offs still aren't broadcast live in the UK at all, so any service showing them is doing so without a licence.
At a glance
Premier League streaming in the UK, 2026-27
| Sky Sports | Around 215 live matches |
| TNT Sports | 52 matches, mostly 12.30 Saturdays |
| Without a contract | NOW (Sky) and HBO Max (TNT) |
| Saturday 3pm | Not shown live in the UK |
| Free option | BBC highlights |
Who shows what this season
2026-27 is the second season of the current UK rights cycle, and it's simpler than it used to be. Amazon no longer has a package, so there are two live broadcasters.
| Broadcaster | Live matches | Typical slots |
|---|---|---|
| Sky Sports | Around 215 | Saturday 5.30pm, Sunday, Monday and Friday nights, most midweek rounds |
| TNT Sports | 52 | Saturday 12.30pm, some midweek and bank holiday games |
| BBC | Highlights only | Match of the Day, iPlayer |
Sky's figure is higher than ever before because it now shows more of the matches moved away from Saturday 3pm, including many games on Sky Sports+ streams during busy weekends.
If you're in the US, the picture is entirely different: see our guide to the Premier League in the USA.
What it costs to see every game
Prices vary with contract length and whether you're an existing customer. These are reported standard figures for 2026-27.
| Service | Approx. monthly | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sky Sports (new customer) | About £35 | Less as an add-on for existing Sky TV customers |
| NOW Sports membership | Varies | Sky Sports without a box; monthly or cheaper on a 6 or 12-month plan |
| TNT Sports via HBO Max | About £26 (12-month) | Also available through BT, EE and Prime Video Channels |
| Total for every televised game | About £60 | Roughly £730 a year |
Only buy what you watch. If your club rarely plays in the Saturday lunchtime slot, TNT is mostly paying for European football and other sports. Check your team's televised fixtures for the first few months before committing.
Watch out for loyalty pricing. Both Sky and TNT lean heavily on introductory offers. Put a reminder in your calendar for when an offer ends.

Streaming it without a Sky box
You don't need a satellite dish or a set-top box to watch any of this. Both broadcasters sell app-based access that runs on internet-connected devices.
NOW is Sky's contract-free streaming service. A Sports membership carries the same Sky Sports channels, including Premier League and Main Event. Higher tiers add better picture quality and extra streams, but the entry level sits below Sky's own 4K service.
Sky Stream is Sky's own box-free option, delivered over broadband through a small puck or a Sky Glass television. It's a Sky contract, but with no dish and full access to Sky Sports in higher quality.
HBO Max now carries TNT Sports in the UK. A plan that includes TNT Sports gives you its live channels and replays in the same app as HBO's drama catalogue.
This is IPTV in the literal sense: licensed television delivered over the internet. It's the legitimate, supported version of what many "IPTV" offers promise.
The 3pm blackout, explained
Since the 1960s, no football has been broadcast live in the UK between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturdays. The rule is designed to protect match attendance across the football pyramid, and the Premier League, the EFL and UEFA all still support it.
In practice that means several Premier League games every weekend are not on any UK channel. They're shown live in other countries by that country's licensed broadcaster, but not here.
What this means for you: no legal UK service will show a 3pm Saturday kick-off live. If an IPTV subscription does, it's retransmitting a foreign broadcast without permission. The Premier League is among the most active rights holders in enforcement, and UK courts have issued blocking orders and convictions against sellers of such services.
The legal alternatives are radio commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT, live text commentary, and the evening highlights on BBC One and iPlayer.
Which devices work
Sky Sports via NOW is available on Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Google TV and Chromecast, games consoles, and most Samsung and LG smart TVs.
HBO Max is on the same range of platforms, as well as phones and tablets.
Older smart TVs are the weak spot. Apps sometimes drop support for televisions more than five or six years old. If yours has lost an app, a streaming stick is the cheapest fix.
Concurrent streams are limited. Each service caps how many devices can watch at once, and the cheapest tiers allow the fewest. Our guide to simultaneous streams explains how the limits work.
Matchday tips
Wire the television if you can. A Saturday evening kick-off is one of the busiest moments on UK broadband. A cable removes Wi-Fi from the list of suspects.
Choose the highest-quality route you pay for. Sky's own boxes and Stream offer better picture quality than NOW's entry tiers. If sport is the main reason you pay, the difference is visible.
Expect a delay. Streams run behind the broadcast signal, often by 30 seconds or more, so goal notifications on your phone may arrive first.
Use the red button and Sky Sports+. Many extra matches on crowded weekends sit on streams rather than a numbered channel. Look in the app's football section, not just the channel guide.
If you're not in the UK
Every country has its own Premier League broadcaster. In the US it's NBC and Peacock. In Ireland, Sky Sports carries most matches. In Australia it's Stan Sport, and in Canada it's Fubo.
UK subscriptions are licensed for the UK. Travelling within the UK and Ireland is covered for most services, but outside it you should expect to use the local broadcaster. See our guides to Ireland and Australia for the local options.
