Start with the honest map. Caribbean TV comes from small broadcasters on small islands, and almost none of them have a US distribution deal. So there's no Caribbean tier on Sling, YouTube TV or DirecTV, and there probably never will be. What exists instead: one paid Jamaican app with a real broadcaster behind it, free live streams from most national stations, and a few ad-supported channels on US streaming platforms. Put together, that covers most of what people actually want, for about $10 a month or less.

Why there's no Caribbean package
Most results for "IPTV Caribbean channels" are trade news from 2011 and 2012, when Cable & Wireless's Lime brand rolled out IPTV in Barbados and announced it for Jamaica. That's IPTV in the Caribbean: today the operators there are Flow (Liberty Latin America) and Digicel. Both sell TV only to customers on the islands. A Flow TV account doesn't travel to Brooklyn or Fort Lauderdale.
For a US service to carry, say, TVJ, it would need a deal with TVJ's owner, plus clearance for every bought-in programme the channel airs: US series, films, international football. For a small station, that clearance work outweighs the money a US carrier would pay. So the stations stream what they own (news, local shows, events) themselves, and leave the rest.
That also tells you what to expect from the legal options: plenty of news, talk and local programming, but not every hour of the schedule.
Jamaica: 1Spotmedia and the rest
1Spotmedia is the app to know. It comes from the RJR Gleaner group, Jamaica's largest media company, and is built for the diaspora. Its live lineup includes the group's channels, JNN (its news channel) and the regional entertainment channel CaribVision, alongside on-demand RJR programming. Listed prices as of autumn 2026:
- $9.99 for one month
- $24.99 for three months
- $47.99 for six months
- $91.99 for twelve months
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you switch it off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Two honest caveats. The app is for iPhone and Android phones, with no native Roku, Fire TV or Apple TV app, so on a TV you're casting. And its store rating is poor, around 2.5 out of 5, with stream stability the most common complaint. Try one month before committing to twelve.
CVM Television, Jamaica's other big station, makes news and selected programmes available through its own website and official YouTube channel. Programmes like CVM at Sunrise are easiest to catch on replay.
PBCJ, the public broadcaster, streams parliamentary and public-affairs programming online as well.
Trinidad and Tobago
Trinidad's main stations, TV6 (One Caribbean Media) and CNC3 (Guardian Media), have long streamed their news live on their websites and official YouTube channels. The evening news is the most reliable live slot. Big events such as the Budget presentation, elections and carnival coverage often stream in full.
There's no paid diaspora app for Trinidad equivalent to 1Spotmedia. For most people, YouTube's subscriptions tab is the closest thing to a channel guide.
Barbados, Guyana, Haiti and the smaller islands
- Barbados: CBC TV8, the national broadcaster, puts its news and local programming online. Check its website for the current live stream.
- Guyana: the National Communications Network (NCN) and private stations post news on their sites and YouTube channels.
- Haiti: Haitian stations and news outlets have big YouTube audiences, and much Kreyòl-language programming is made by diaspora producers in Miami and New York who publish there directly.
- Eastern Caribbean: stations on islands such as St Lucia, Grenada and Antigua mostly stream news and community programming on Facebook and YouTube.
For Caribbean and African films, the free service AfroLandTV carries a mix of both, and mainstream services such as Netflix pick up Caribbean films from time to time. Our guide to African channels in the US covers the overlapping film apps in more detail.

Cricket and carnival
For many households the real question is cricket. West Indies internationals and the Caribbean Premier League are sold separately for the US market, and in recent seasons that has mostly meant Willow, which is available as its own subscription and as an add-on on some live TV services. Rights move between tournaments, so check who has the series you want before the first ball. Our cricket in the USA guide covers Willow and the alternatives.
Caribbean stations rarely stream cricket themselves, even when they broadcast it at home, because their rights stop at the region's borders. A Caribbean "sports channel" in a cheap bundle is almost always a retransmitted regional pay-TV feed.
Carnival is easier. Trinidad's carnival competitions and many island festivals are streamed by organisers or national broadcasters, sometimes free and sometimes as a pay-per-view on the organiser's own site.
Getting it onto the TV
Because the best Caribbean content lives on phones and YouTube, the setup matters more than the subscription.
- Use a device with casting built in. A Chromecast with Google TV or Google TV Streamer takes casts from the Android 1Spotmedia app. An Apple TV takes AirPlay from the iPhone app, though some users report AirPlay problems with it, so test before paying for a year.
- Subscribe to the stations on YouTube from the TV's YouTube app. Live streams then appear at the top of your Subscriptions tab.
- Add a free streaming platform or two for background viewing. Ad-supported channels with Caribbean music and culture come and go on these, so browse the international or music categories. Our explainer on FAST channels covers how these work.
Jamaica is on Eastern Standard Time all year, so in winter Jamaican news airs at the same clock time as New York, and an hour behind once the US moves to daylight time. Trinidad and Barbados are an hour ahead of New York in winter.
The "all islands" bundles
Look on Roku's older listings or a seller's site and you'll find "Caribbean IPTV" packs promising every island's channels, plus CNN, ESPN and the US premium networks, for around $10 to $20 a month. The giveaway is the US channels. No legitimate Caribbean bundle can carry ESPN or HBO to US viewers for $10, and a provider that clearly hasn't licensed those probably hasn't licensed the island stations either.
The practical problems are what you'd expect: feeds that stop working, no refunds, and payment requests through Cash App, Zelle or crypto. Read how to spot an IPTV scam before handing over a year's money, and is IPTV legal in the US for where the line sits.
My view: for Jamaica, pay for 1Spotmedia one month at a time. For everywhere else, YouTube plus the stations' own sites does the job for free.
Quick answers
How can I watch Jamaican TV in the US?

There's no native app on those platforms. Cast from the phone app to a Chromecast or Google TV device, or AirPlay to an Apple TV.

Do Sling or YouTube TV have Caribbean channels?
No. There's no Caribbean package on the big US live TV services.
Can I use my Flow or Digicel account in the US?
No. Their TV services are licensed for customers in the Caribbean.
Where can I watch West Indies cricket in the US?
Through the US rights holder for each series, which has usually been Willow. Check the specific tournament before subscribing.
Are Caribbean IPTV bundles legal?
Bundles that mix island stations with US channels like ESPN and HBO for a few dollars aren't licensed, and they tend to stop working without warning.
Station live-streaming policies, 1Spotmedia's prices and lineup, and cricket rights all change, sometimes from one tournament to the next. Confirm the current price in the app store and the rights holder for any series before paying. Checked October 2026.
