Short answer: the best "Indian IPTV" for most US households isn't an IPTV seller at all. It's Sling's Desi Binge Plus if you want live Hindi channels with SonyLIV and Willow cricket bundled in (listed at $15 a month in 2025), or YuppTV if your language is Telugu, Tamil or another regional one. The catch most rankings skip: Indian networks license separately, so the app that's best for Star serials is useless for Zee ones, and nearly every family ends up with one live service plus one broadcaster app.

How we ranked them
We only ranked services that hold licences to sell Indian content in the US, that you can sign up for with a normal card, and that have apps in the major TV app stores. Within that, five things decided the order:
- Breadth. How many of the channels and shows a typical Indian household watches does it cover?
- Live versus on demand. Live channels matter for news and cricket; on-demand matters for serials, because of the time difference.
- Price per useful hour. A $10 app you use daily beats a $5 app you open twice a month.
- Ease on a TV. Apps for Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, Apple TV, Samsung and LG, with sign-in by code.
- Flexibility. Monthly billing and easy cancellation, because Indian rights deals shift and you may need to switch.
We haven't tested these for weeks on end; the ranking is built from each service's published packages, prices and app availability. Prices are those the services published at the dates given, so confirm the checkout price.

Rank reflects how many households each one suits, not quality alone. A Bengali family should start at number 9, not number 1.
1. Sling Desi Binge Plus: the best single subscription for Hindi homes
Sling has been the biggest licensed source of Indian live TV in the US for years, and its Desi packs can be bought on their own without its English channels.
Why it ranks first: in its June 2025 marketing, Sling listed Desi Binge Plus at $10 for the first month and $15 a month after, including SonyLIV, Disney Star's on-demand library and Hotstar Specials, MX One and Willow HD. Its Desi line-up has included news channels such as Aaj Tak, India Today and Republic TV. One bill gets you live Hindi TV, a broadcaster app and cricket.
Weak spots: no Zee or Colors live channels to speak of, pack contents shift when deals renew, and the guide can feel cluttered for older viewers. It's also US-only, so it won't follow you on a trip to India.
Skip it if: your household mainly watches one regional language, or only follows Zee serials.
2. YuppTV: best for regional languages
YuppTV is an Indian-owned service built specifically for viewers outside India, with packs sold by language: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi and more.
Why it ranks high: it reaches the smaller regional entertainment and news channels the big US bundles ignore, and its catch-up feature lets you play an evening serial from India at a US-friendly time.
Weak spots: prices move a lot with promotions, so there's no stable number to quote; check the US pack page on the day. Channel lists differ widely between language packs.
Skip it if: you only watch Hindi channels from Star or Sony, where Sling usually covers more for less.
3 to 8. The broadcaster apps and cricket
ZEE5 (3). The only licensed source for most Zee network serials (Zee TV, Zee Marathi, Zee Bangla, Zee Tamil, Zee Telugu and others) plus Zee films and originals. On-demand, with episodes usually arriving the same day as India. If one person in the house follows a Zee serial, this is non-negotiable.
Sling Dakshin Flex (4). Sling's South Indian pack with Star Vijay, Star Maa and Asianet, listed at $10 a month in 2025, with Willow HD. Separate Sling Dakshin packs carry Sun TV Network channels. Our South Indian channels guide maps them all.
Willow (5). In the US, Willow holds most cricket: the IPL, ICC tournaments and most home internationals. Standalone it's $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year, but check first whether a Sling pack you're buying already includes it. See cricket in the USA.
SonyLIV (6). Sony's serials, originals and films. It's ranked lower only because Sling Desi Binge Plus has bundled it, so many households get it without a separate bill.
Disney+ and Hulu (7). Hotstar closed as a US product in 2021, and former Hotstar originals and some Star shows moved to Disney's US services. Check title by title; if you already pay for Disney+, you may have more Indian content than you think.
Sun NXT (8). Sun TV Network's own app, with its Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada serials and a large southern film library.
9 and 10. The language specialists
These rank lower only because they serve one language each. For their audience they're often the first thing to buy.
- hoichoi for Bengali films and originals. Its US plans are $9.99 a month (one stream) or $79.99 a year (two streams).
- aha for Telugu and Tamil films and originals; confirm it appears in your US app store before paying.
- Chaupal for Punjabi, Haryanvi and Bhojpuri films and series. It says it streams in the US and has apps for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung, LG and Vizio.
- ShemarooMe for Gujarati and Marathi films, devotional programming with live darshan channels, and kids' shows. It runs a US presence; check plan availability in the US.
For Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali in detail, see our language-by-language guide to Indian TV in the US.
The free options worth ranking too
Before paying for anything, check how much your household gets free:
- News. Aaj Tak, NDTV, India Today, ABP News, Zee News and many regional news channels stream live on their official YouTube channels.
- Serial clips and old shows. Broadcasters post full episodes of older serials and many films on their verified YouTube channels.
- Free tiers. Several Indian apps have a free, ad-supported tier with a limited library.
- Netflix and Prime Video. Not Indian services, but both carry a large Hindi and regional film catalogue with subtitles, and you may already pay for them.
For a parent who mainly wants news and a couple of devotional channels, YouTube on the TV may be enough. Our list of free live TV streaming apps covers the wider free options.
Why the "best Indian IPTV" sites aren't on this list
Search the phrase and the top results are almost all sellers with names like "Something IPTV", promising 8,000 to 15,000 live channels and hundreds of thousands of films in every Indian language, from $15 a month or a few hundred dollars for five to seven years. One even ranks with a Wikipedia page about a Hindi shopping channel, Best Deal TV, which shows how thin the genuine results are.
We didn't rank any of them, for three plain reasons. None says which channel owners it has agreements with, and the major networks don't sell to them. Their plans push long prepayments that you can't recover if the service disappears, which they do. And Indian broadcasters actively chase this market: Disney Star triggered a 2024 raid in Dubai on an operator with about 12,000 pirated channels, and Star India won a 2025 Delhi High Court order that lets it block new pirate IPTV sites and apps in real time.
The licensed list above costs more than $15 a month if you want everything. Most households don't need everything. Two well-chosen services usually cover what they actually watch. Our guide to spotting an IPTV scam lists the warning signs.
Our pick by household
| Household | Start with | Add if needed |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi serials, news and cricket | Sling Desi Binge Plus | ZEE5 for Zee serials |
| Telugu or Tamil | YuppTV or a Sling Dakshin pack | Sun NXT, ZEE5 or aha |
| Malayalam or Kannada | Sling Dakshin packs | YuppTV for smaller channels |
| Bengali | hoichoi | ZEE5 for Zee Bangla |
| Punjabi | Chaupal | Sling or YuppTV Punjabi channels |
| Cricket only | Willow annual | Nothing |
| Parents visiting for a few months | One monthly live service | Free YouTube news |
Start with one, use it for a month, and only add the second once you know what's missing.
Quick answers
What is the best Indian IPTV service in the US? For most Hindi-speaking households, Sling's Desi Binge Plus, which bundles live Indian channels with SonyLIV and Willow cricket. For Telugu, Tamil and other regional languages, YuppTV is usually the better starting point.
Is YuppTV better than Sling for Indian channels? It depends on language. Sling is stronger for Hindi and for Sun TV and Star channels; YuppTV has broader regional coverage and catch-up. Compare both channel lists against what you actually watch.
Which app has Zee TV serials in the USA? ZEE5, Zee's own app, carries Zee network serials on demand in Hindi and regional languages.
Is Hotstar available in the US? No. Hotstar closed in the US in 2021, and former Hotstar content moved to Disney+ and Hulu. JioHotstar isn't offered in the US.
How much does Willow cost? Willow sells directly for $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year, and some Sling Desi and South Indian packs have included it.
