Short answer: yes, Peacock streams every NBA game NBC has in 2026-27, about 100 regular-season games, plus All-Star Weekend and early-round playoff games. You need Peacock Premium ($12.99 a month) or Premium Plus; the cheaper Select plan has no live sport. The non-obvious bit: Monday games are Peacock exclusives that aren't on NBC at all, while Tuesday and Sunday games are on both, so an antenna covers some of the schedule but not all of it.

Which Peacock plan you need
| Plan | Price (US) | NBA games? |
|---|---|---|
| Select | $8.99/month | No live sport |
| Premium | $12.99/month or $129.99/year | Yes, every NBA game |
| Premium Plus | $19.99/month or $199.99/year | Yes, plus your local NBC station live |
Premium is enough for the NBA. Every NBC and Peacock game streams on Premium, including the Tuesday and Sunday games that also air on NBC.
Adverts: live sport carries commercials on both Premium tiers; Premium Plus removes adverts from most on-demand programmes, not games.
Annual plans save roughly two months' cost over paying monthly, which suits a season running from October to May.
Watching NBC games for free
Tuesday and Sunday games air on your local NBC station, so a TV antenna picks them up free. On Coast 2 Coast Tuesdays, the NBC broadcast is shown at 8pm Eastern in the Eastern and Central time zones, with the full doubleheader streaming on Peacock nationwide.
Monday games are different. They're Peacock exclusives, available otherwise only on NBCSN through cable or a live TV service that carries it.
Spanish-language viewers can watch ten Sunday Night Basketball games and the All-Star Game on Telemundo.
Blackouts and League Pass
No home-market blackout on Peacock. A Peacock game involving your local team is available to you on Peacock like any other.
League Pass blacks out Peacock and NBC games in the US. They're national broadcasts, so they appear on League Pass as replays at 6am Eastern the next day rather than live.
That makes Peacock the natural companion to League Pass for anyone following an out-of-market team, since it fills three nights of the week that League Pass can't.
Setting up Peacock on your TV
Peacock has apps for Google TV and Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, most smart TVs, games consoles and phones.
Find games in the Sports tab or on the NBA hub within Peacock; live games also appear on the home screen shortly before tip-off.
Streams: Peacock limits how many streams an account can play at once, so a household watching the Monday tripleheader on several screens may hit the limit. Our guide to how live TV services count streams explains the general rules.
Use a wired connection for the main TV where possible; fast sport shows up Wi-Fi weaknesses sooner than anything else.
Is Peacock worth it for the NBA?
The arithmetic is favourable. At $129.99 a year, Premium works out at around $1.30 per NBC or Peacock regular-season game before counting All-Star Weekend, the playoffs or anything else on the service. Paying monthly only through the NBA season costs a little more but avoids paying for summer months.
Other sport comes with it. The same Premium plan includes NBC's Sunday Night Football, Premier League matches and more, so households that follow several sports often already have it.
The case is weakest for fans whose team rarely appears on NBC and who don't mind missing Monday games; for them, an antenna covering the NBC broadcasts may be enough.
Time your sign-up. Peacock runs discounts around big events, and annual plans bought early in the season give the most games for the money.
If a game won't play
"Upgrade to watch" means the account is on the Select tier, which has no live sport. Changing to Premium in account settings unlocks games immediately.
Buffering or a soft picture is usually the home network. Restart the app, check the device's connection, and move to a wired or 5 GHz connection if you can.
Sound out of step with the picture is typically a TV or soundbar setting rather than Peacock; our guide to fixing audio sync covers the usual culprits.
Too many streams means other devices on the account are playing; stop them, or wait a few minutes for idle sessions to clear.
Outside the US
Peacock's NBA rights are US-only. Viewers in other countries watch through NBA League Pass or their local broadcaster; our main guide to where to watch the NBA covers the options.
Unofficial streams and unlicensed IPTV services aren't licensed to show NBA games, and they tend to fail during the biggest moments. Every game has a legal home somewhere.
Where Peacock fits in the season
Peacock is one of three national partners. ESPN and ABC have Wednesdays, weekends from midseason, Christmas, the Western Conference Finals and the Finals; Prime Video has Fridays, the NBA Cup, the Play-In and the Eastern Conference Finals.
For the full night-by-night guide, see where to watch the NBA in 2026-27.
Who should subscribe: anyone who wants Monday games, which have no free alternative; fans of the eight most-featured teams; and League Pass subscribers who want their Monday, Tuesday and Sunday gaps filled.
