IPTV With Local Channels: Who Carries ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX

Short answer: four licensed live TV services carry all of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in most US markets as of October 2026: YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV and, again, Fubo, which got NBC back after a deal with NBCUniversal in June 2026. Sling has no CBS and carries the other three only in select cities. The catch is the word "local": what you need is your station, with your news and weather, and that depends on your ZIP code, not the logo on a sign-up page.

Service ABC CBS NBC FOX From, per month
YouTube TV Yes Yes Yes Yes $82.99
Hulu + Live TV Yes Yes Yes Yes $99.99
DirecTV (streaming) Yes Yes Yes Yes $89.99
Fubo Yes Yes Yes, since summer 2026 Yes about $74-$85
Sling Blue Select markets No Select markets Select markets $45.99
Philo, Frndly TV No No No No $8.99-$25

"Yes" means the service carries that network in most markets, not all of them. Regular prices from each service's site, early October 2026; Fubo varies by ZIP.

What changed in 2026

If you read a local-channels comparison from last winter, one line in it is now wrong. Fubo lost every NBCUniversal channel in November 2025 when its distribution deal lapsed, and many guides still list it as "no NBC". On 10 June 2026, Fubo and NBCUniversal announced a new agreement. Telemundo and the Spanish-language networks came back that week, in time for the World Cup, and the English-language NBC channels, including NBC stations and affiliates, followed in the weeks after.

So for most markets Fubo is back to being a four-network service. Its coverage is still worth checking by ZIP, because a national deal with NBCUniversal covers the stations NBC owns, while affiliates owned by other station groups each have their own agreements.

The other reminder from the past year is that no service is immune to blackouts. ABC and the other Disney channels went dark on YouTube TV for about two weeks in November 2025 during a carriage dispute before a new deal restored them. These fights are usually settled within days or weeks, but they tend to happen right before big sports weekends, which is exactly when you notice.

Why "local" means your station

The US is divided into 210 TV markets. Each has its own ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX affiliate, and most of those stations aren't owned by the networks at all. Companies like Nexstar, Sinclair, Gray and Tegna own them, and every streaming service has to sign a retransmission deal with each owner before it can carry the station.

That's why every service asks for your ZIP before showing a channel list, and why the same service can carry NBC in Chicago and not in a smaller market. It's also why your locals are tied to where you live. Stream from home and you get your market's stations; travel and, on most services, your phone switches to the stations where you are, while your living-room TV stays locked to your home area.

Some services fill a gap with a national network feed when no local deal exists. You get network primetime, but not your local news, weather alerts or the regional NFL game your station is airing. The giveaway is the channel name: a real local feed shows call letters like WNBC or KABC, or the station's own branding.

The "USA locals" in cheap IPTV lists

A lot of searches for "IPTV with local channels" come from people looking at unlicensed IPTV sellers whose channel lists include a "USA Locals" category. It's worth knowing what that usually means in practice.

Those lists rarely contain 210 markets' worth of stations. More often they carry a handful of big-city feeds, typically New York, Los Angeles or Chicago, captured and restreamed without permission. If you live elsewhere, that's someone else's news and weather, and on NFL Sundays it's the game shown in that city, not yours. The streams are also the first to fail on busy nights and disappear entirely when a seller is shut down.

The legal position is settled, too. Locast, a non-profit that retransmitted local stations online for free, lost in federal court in 2021 and shut down, and it was trying much harder to stay within the law than any reseller does. If you want locals without a monthly bill, the antenna route below is the legitimate version of what those lists promise.

Turn antenna locals into IPTV on every screen

Here's the option most comparisons skip. An antenna gets your real local stations free, usually in better picture quality than any stream, with no delay on live sport. The usual complaint is that it only works on the TV it's plugged into. A network tuner fixes that.

A network tuner, such as SiliconDust's HDHomeRun or a Tablo, connects to the antenna and to your router, then streams the over-the-air channels across your home network. In effect it turns broadcast TV into IPTV for your own household. You watch through an app on Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Google TV, phones and tablets, and with a DVR app such as Channels, Plex or Jellyfin you can record too.

Setup Monthly cost Screens Good for
Antenna into one TV $0 1 A single main TV
Antenna + network tuner $0 (or a DVR app subscription) Every device at home Locals in every room, plus recording
Antenna + tuner + Sling or Philo $25-$46 Every device Locals free, cable channels paid
Full live TV service $83-$100 2 to unlimited Weak signal areas, or locals away from home

Two limits. You need decent reception, so check the FCC's DTV reception map for your address first; our guide to the best antenna for your distance helps with that. And out-of-home viewing on these systems is limited by app and by broadcaster rules, so treat it as a home setup. If you already run Plex, our explainer on Plex Live TV and DVR shows how a tuner slots in.

Just one network? The cheaper routes

Plenty of people only need one or two locals live, usually for football. You don't need an $83 bundle for that.

Network Cheapest licensed live route Catch
CBS Paramount+ Premium tier The basic tier doesn't include your live local CBS
NBC Peacock Premium Plus Plain Premium ($12.99) has no live local NBC
FOX Fox One, $19.99 Adds FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network and Fox News
ABC Antenna, or a full live TV service Disney doesn't sell your local ABC as a standalone stream
PBS Antenna, or the free PBS app Live availability depends on your member station

ABC is the network that pushes households into a full bundle. If ABC matters and your antenna signal is poor, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV or Fubo are the realistic choices.

The two-minute ZIP check

  1. Write down your four stations' call letters. Search "[your city] TV stations" or look at your local news logo.
  2. Open each service's lineup tool and enter your home ZIP. YouTube TV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV and DirecTV all show channels before you pay; Sling shows locals in its plan builder.
  3. Match call letters, not logos. A plain network logo can be a national feed.
  4. Look for the second tier if it matters to you: PBS, The CW, MyNetworkTV, Telemundo and Univision vary far more than the big four.
  5. Confirm on the trial, on the TV at home, because locals follow your device's location as well as your billing ZIP.

A screenshot of the lineup page is worth keeping. If a station disappears later, it helps when you ask for a credit. Our longer guide to which service covers most markets goes deeper on home-area rules and travel.

PBS, The CW and Spanish-language locals

The big four get the headlines, but the stations people discover are missing after signing up are usually the second tier.

PBS is carried by YouTube TV in many markets and by Hulu + Live TV in some. The free PBS app streams most member stations live, which is often the simplest answer whatever service you choose.

The CW matters more than it used to, because it now airs college football and other live sport on Saturdays. YouTube TV and Hulu carry it in many markets, but less consistently than the big four.

Telemundo and Univision locals are on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and DirecTV in markets with local stations, and Telemundo is back on Fubo's Latino plan since the June 2026 deal. Spanish-speaking households should check these by ZIP just as carefully as the English networks.

Independent and MyNetworkTV stations are patchy on every streamer. That matters if your local NBA, NHL or MLB team has moved games from a regional sports network to an over-the-air station, as several have. An antenna is often the only reliable way to get them.

Which one to choose

Your situation Best fit
Want all four, widest coverage, three screens YouTube TV
Big household watching at once DirecTV, unlimited streams at home
Sports-first, likes 4K events Fubo, now that NBC is back, after a ZIP check
Would pay for Disney+ and Hulu anyway Hulu + Live TV
Good antenna signal Antenna and network tuner, plus Sling or Philo for cable
Only need FOX or CBS for football Fox One or Paramount+ Premium

Our pick for most households with weak or no antenna reception is YouTube TV, simply because it publishes the broadest coverage figure and carries all four networks. Anyone within reach of the towers should try the antenna first; it costs less than one month of any bundle. For every route side by side, including free ones, see local channels without cable.

Quick answers

Does IPTV have local channels? Licensed live TV services do. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV and Fubo carry ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in most US markets, with availability set by your ZIP code.

Does Fubo have NBC again? Yes. Fubo and NBCUniversal announced a new deal on 10 June 2026, ending a blackout that began in November 2025. NBC channels returned over the following weeks; check your ZIP for your local station.

Which IPTV service has the most local channels? YouTube TV, which says it carries all the major local networks in more than 98% of US TV households. No other service publishes a comparable figure.

Does Sling TV have local channels? Only partly. Sling Blue carries ABC, FOX and NBC in select markets, and Sling has no CBS anywhere.

Can I get local channels on IPTV for free? Yes, with an antenna and a network tuner such as an HDHomeRun or Tablo, which streams over-the-air channels to devices across your home. Some free apps also carry local news streams.

Why do I see a different city's stations? Locals are tied to your location. Away from home, phones usually show the stations where you are, and a service may show a national feed if it has no deal with your local station.

Are "USA locals" in cheap IPTV packages legal? No. Those streams are retransmitted without the stations' permission and usually cover only a few big cities, not your own market.

Local carriage depends on deals between each service and each station group, so availability varies by ZIP code and can change during carriage disputes. Fubo's NBC return is based on the June 2026 announcement; confirm your own station on its lineup page. Prices are regular monthly rates from early October 2026. Checked October 2026.
