UFC on IPTV: Why a Channel List Won't Get You the Fights

Short answer: in the US, UFC is no longer really a TV channel at all. Since January 2026 every UFC event, numbered cards included, streams live on Paramount+ with no pay-per-view fee, and only a handful of cards also go out on CBS. So an IPTV or live-TV channel line-up, however long, won't give you UFC on its own: what you need is the Paramount+ app on whatever box you already use. Outside the US the rights sit with different broadcasters, and some still charge per event.

Why UFC stopped being a channel

For most of the last decade, UFC in the US meant ESPN and ESPN+, with numbered events sold as pay-per-view on top. That arrangement ended with 2025.

From 2026, Paramount holds the US rights under a seven-year deal reported at around $7.7 billion. The headline change is that the per-event pay-per-view charge has gone. Every UFC event, from Fight Nights to the biggest numbered cards, is included in an ordinary Paramount+ subscription.

The side effect matters if you think of sport in terms of channels. The deal is built around a streaming app, not a cable network. CBS, the broadcast channel, carries a selection of cards, but most events exist live only inside Paramount+. A channel list, whether from a cable operator, a live-TV service or an IPTV playlist, can't include what was never a channel.

What US viewers actually need

In practice, one subscription covers the whole calendar.

Option Price (US, checked Sept 2026) What you get
Paramount+ Essential About $7.99/month Every live UFC event; ads on on-demand shows
Paramount+ Premium About $12.99/month Same UFC access, fewer ads, your local CBS live
Antenna One-off hardware cost Only the cards CBS chooses to broadcast
UFC Fight Pass Separate subscription Archive and other promotions, not the main events

Either Paramount+ tier works. UFC events are in both. Premium mostly buys fewer adverts in the on-demand library and a live stream of your local CBS station.

Fight Pass is optional now. It remains the place for the fight library and for smaller promotions, but it isn't needed for current UFC cards in the US.

There's no separate "PPV" to buy. If a website asks you to pay extra for a US numbered event, be sceptical. Official access runs through Paramount+.

The CBS cards, and live-TV packages

A few cards a year go out on CBS as well as Paramount+. That is the one case where a conventional channel helps.

Live-TV services carry CBS. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Fubo all include local CBS stations in most markets, so on those nights the fight appears in the ordinary channel guide. On every other night it won't.

An antenna gets CBS free. If you're in range of a CBS transmitter, over-the-air reception picks up the broadcast cards at no monthly cost. Our guide to local channels without cable covers how to check reception.

CBS Sports Network carries shoulder programming and some preliminary coverage, and appears in several live-TV packages. It's a useful extra, not a substitute.

The honest summary: a live-TV package is worth having for plenty of reasons, but UFC isn't one of them. Adding Paramount+ is cheaper than any package and covers more fights.

UFC outside the US

Paramount's deal is a US deal, so the picture elsewhere is still built on local broadcasters, and in some countries on pay-per-view.

Country Main broadcaster Extra cost for big cards?
UK and Ireland TNT Sports (also via HBO Max) Occasionally, via TNT Sports Box Office
Canada Sportsnet / Sportsnet+ Numbered main cards may be PPV
Australia Paramount+ for Fight Nights Check each numbered event
Brazil and Latin America Paramount+ Generally no
India SonyLIV Subscription

Rights change hands more often than people expect. Canada, for example, has been widely reported as moving numbered main cards to Paramount+ from 2027. Check the broadcaster's own schedule a week before a card rather than relying on last year's arrangement.

Getting Paramount+ onto your IPTV box

Most people who search for "IPTV UFC" already own a streaming box or smart TV. The good news is that Paramount+ is one of the most widely supported apps there is.

Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Google TV and Android TV all have Paramount+ in their official app store. So do current Samsung, LG, Vizio and Hisense televisions, games consoles, phones and tablets.

Install from the store, not from a file. A store version updates itself and keeps working after operating-system changes. That matters on the newer Fire TV Sticks running Vega OS, which can only run Appstore apps in any case.

Your player app stays useful for everything else. A general-purpose IPTV player that plays a playlist from a provider you trust doesn't conflict with Paramount+. They sit side by side on the home screen. Many people pin both, with Paramount+ for fights and the player for the channels their provider supplies.

Sign in before fight night. Paramount+ uses a code-on-screen activation. Doing it on a quiet afternoon avoids the scramble at 9pm on a Saturday, when the service's own servers are at their busiest.

About "UFC PPV" channels in playlists

Some IPTV subscriptions advertise "UFC PPV" or "fight" channels. It's worth being clear about what those are.

No licensed service sells UFC that way. In the US the only official live source is Paramount+ and, for some cards, CBS. A third-party channel labelled "UFC PPV" is a rebroadcast that the rights holder hasn't authorised.

That carries real risks for you. Streams like these tend to fail at the busiest moment, the main event. Providers disappear, often with a year's payment. Payment and login details are handed to businesses with no accountability. And in most countries, paying for unlicensed streams is itself a legal problem, not just the provider's.

The economics no longer make sense anyway. The historic reason people went looking was the $80-a-card pay-per-view price. In the US that price has gone. A month of Paramount+ costs less than a pizza.

Fight night: avoiding the buffer

UFC main cards are among the busiest live-streaming moments on any service, and delays of even a few seconds feel worse when your phone is buzzing with results.

Wire the box if you can. An Ethernet cable, or Fire TV's official adapter, removes Wi-Fi congestion from the equation.

Restart the device an hour before. Streaming sticks accumulate clutter in memory over days of use. A restart clears it.

Update the app earlier in the week. An app that insists on updating at 10pm Saturday is a common and avoidable problem.

Mute the group chat, or accept spoilers. Streams run behind a live broadcast, typically by tens of seconds. Our explainer on streaming delay in live sport goes into why.

Quick answers

Can I watch UFC on IPTV? Yes, through licensed apps. In the US that means the Paramount+ app, which runs on every major streaming box and smart TV. A channel line-up alone won't include most UFC events.

Is UFC still pay-per-view in 2026? Not in the US. Every event is included in a Paramount+ subscription. Some other countries, including Canada and at times the UK, still charge extra for certain cards.

Which channel is UFC on? In the US, Paramount+ streams every event, and selected cards also air on CBS. In the UK and Ireland it's TNT Sports.

Do YouTube TV or Hulu + Live TV show UFC? Only the cards that air on CBS. For every other event you need Paramount+.

Do I still need UFC Fight Pass? Not for current US cards. It's still the home of the fight archive and some other promotions.

Are "UFC PPV" channels in IPTV playlists legal? No licensed provider sells UFC as a channel in that way. They are unauthorised rebroadcasts, and they carry security, reliability and legal risks.

What's the cheapest legal way to watch UFC in the US? Paramount+ Essential, at around $7.99 a month, covers every event. An antenna covers the CBS cards at no monthly cost.

UFC broadcast rights, Paramount+ prices and the choice of which cards air on CBS change over time, and differ between countries. Check the broadcaster's schedule before each event. Checked September 2026.
